Kizziah, Rachel

Hi, I'm Rachel Kizziah, and I teach English and communication courses. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in English from the University of Southern Indiana in 2009 and with my master's degree in English literary and cultural studies from Eastern Illinois University in 2021. I am currently working on a certification in communication processes from Eastern Illinois University and plan to be finished this coming spring. This is my twelfth year teaching at HCHS. I also sponsor National Honor Society and book club.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, writing, riding ATVs, and watching TV and movies. My favorite book of all time is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, and my current favorite TV shows are Married at First Sight and Survivor

Some of my favorite quotes:

"Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference."

--Barbara De Angelis

“I have lived a thousand lives and I've loved a thousand loves. I've walked on distant worlds and seen the end of time. Because I read.”--George R.R. Martin

“Everyone you will ever meet knows something that you don't.”--Bill Nye
