Valedictorian/Salutatorian

Grades for eight (8) semesters' work will be averaged to determine the Valedictorian and Salutatorian. All grade point averages will be rounded to three points from four places to the right of the decimal.

To be considered for Valedictorian, a student must take at least five (5) weighted classes and have all A's or the highest overall G.P.A. To be considered for Salutatorian, a student must take at least five (5) weighted classes and be ranked second (2nd) after the Valedictorian.

In order to be eligible for Valedictorian or Salutatorian, a student must be in attendance all of his/her junior and senior year at Hardin County High School. Seniors opting for “early-out” will not be considered for valedictorian/salutatorian honors.
